Calcium chloride desiccant

Composition and Properties: Anhydrous calcium chloride or calcium chloride dihydrate, it absorbs moisture through physical adsorption or chemical binding. Calcium chloride readily reacts with water to form hydrated calcium chloride, which is a form of chemisorption, resulting in strong moisture absorption capacity.

High Moisture Absorption Efficiency: In high humidity environments (e.g., 230%), it can absorb 200%-300% of its own weight in moisture.

Industrial Grade: It has low corrosiveness, becomes alkaline after absorbing moisture, and is not edible. It is commonly used in moisture-proof applications including food, electronic equipment, and shipping containers.
